The American Technion Society (ATS) has since 1940 played a vital role in Israel’s progress by supporting the Technion. By raising more than half a million dollars to meet the Technion’s diverse needs, the ATS has been a key partner in the university’s unparalleled growth and achievements.
Evidence of ATS support is clearly visible throughout Technion City. Students and faculty benefit from numerous ATS-sponsored laboratories, classrooms and dormitories, as well as hundreds of scholarships, academic chairs, and lectureships.
A network of Centers of Excellence promotes world-class research, as do special research centers, including a think-tank with an international reputation and an institute for water research. In addition, incubators made possible by the ATS help turn Technion research into marketable products worldwide.
A nationwide membership organization with more than 20,000 supporters – many of them distinguished scientists, entrepreneurs and industry leaders – the ATS is currently working to expand and enhance the Technion’s teaching and research capabilities. The ATS holds that Israel’s economic future is in high technology, and the future of high technology is at Technion.
